Embedded C++ Engineer with testing background

Talent Complete is looking for a motivated Embedded C++ Engineer with testing background.

Engagement: Full-time

Your team will be 6-8 people and will be one of 20+ embedded teams located in Katowice. You will work together also with other teams, located in USA, Singapore and Czechia. You will report to the Team Leader/Manager, Embedded Software and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Main responsibilities: 

• Embedded Software Development – Develop and maintain embedded software components in C++ while ensuring reliable, maintainable, and high-quality implementation.
• Test Automation Development – Create and maintain automated tests using Python to support efficient validation of embedded software functionality and quality.
• Software Testing & Validation – Execute functional, integration, and system testing activities to verify software behavior and ensure requirements are correctly implemented.
• Defect Analysis & Resolution – Investigate software defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to identify and implement effective solutions.
• Software Quality Improvement – Work closely with developers to identify quality issues, improve testing practices, and strengthen the overall reliability of embedded software.
• Code Review & Agile Collaboration – Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and cross-functional team activities while contributing to continuous software development improvements.

• Embedded C++ Development – Proven experience developing embedded software using C++ with a strong understanding of embedded programming concepts and development practices.
• Software Testing Knowledge – Solid understanding of software testing and validation methodologies, including functional, integration, and system-level testing approaches.
• Python Test Automation – Practical Python programming skills with experience creating automated tests, testing tools, or scripts for embedded software environments.
• Debugging & Root Cause Analysis – Experience debugging embedded software, analyzing defects, identifying root causes, and supporting effective issue resolution.
• Communication Protocols – Knowledge of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, CAN, and UART, with an understanding of their use in embedded systems.
• Git & CI/CD – Experience using Git for version control and familiarity with CI/CD tools supporting automated software development and testing processes.
• English Communication – Good English communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.
